Technical programme manager · AI transformation

I run the programme and build the tools it runs on.

I started out writing code at Microsoft, then spent twenty years running programmes for Microsoft, Paramount and a string of media companies. These days I do both.

The short version

Rolling out AI is an organisational change problem wearing a technical costume.

It goes wrong when the people leading it have never built anything, or the people building it have never led change.

I've spent my career doing both.

Shipped in the last three months.

Production software I designed, built and still run, mostly with AI coding agents as the team.

Flagship

Project Ember

It started as my own second brain: nearly 500 linked notes on squads, risks, decisions and meetings, kept current by AI agents that read the transcripts and the Jira data. Ember is how I'm taking that to the whole company.

On the side

Websites, made properly.

I design and build fast, hand-made sites for small businesses under Aloft and Away.

The engagement engine room

A $10M+ engagement programme across Visa, Mastercard and our app. I built the tooling behind it: a live campaign dashboard, a morning AI check on every campaign, and chat-to-Jira intake.

DP Metrics & reporting

A Jira-native metrics app with AI analysis on every squad card, plus the automations that now write the sprint reports and meeting notes. The manual reporting layer, gone.

The ways-of-working kit

Jira and agile playbooks, hands-on training and coaching, quarterly planning packs, and a capacity calculator that tells each squad what it can really take on.

Twenty-two years, one thread.
